Sense and Sensibility Dinner Theatre - The High School is performing Jane Austin’s  Sense and Sensibility.  We are trying to establish Applewood as a Christian School which offers quality, family friendly productions for the whole community.  It is also are desire that the drama program will become a fund raising source that will not only sustain the drama program but add things to program and benefit the school, like better lighting and sound equipment.  We also began a tradition of performing Dinner Theater for the spring production with Uncle Phil’s  last year.  Since we sold out at 225 seats; this year we will be performing the play THREE times:

Friday, April 24th,    at 7:00 pm Adults: $10.00    Students: $8.00     Buffet Dinner
Saturday, April 25th at 1:00 pm Adults: $  6.00    Students: $4.00     Tea & Scones
Saturday, April 25th at 6:00 pm Adults: $10.00    Students: $8.00     Buffet Dinner

Tickets will be on sale this week at the school office and through the High School Cast.  We will also be advertising through the Sedalia Democrat the 3rd week of March and the 1st Week of April.  So please get your tickets early!  We have limited seating each performance.

We still need help!
These productions are great and look good because of the many volunteers who sew costumes, build props, lend us furniture and props, build sets, do graphic art on tickets, posters and programs, put on makeup, do hairstyles, and the students who dedicate hours of rehearsals.   The following is a list of coordinators to contact:

Mrs. Paula Crosier            Cooking meals          Needs cooking help
Mrs. Amber Harshner        Decorating ROC        Needs helpers (table setting)
Seamstresses                  Sewing costumes      Need a coordinator for cutting out patterns and parceling out for sewing

List of props still needed:
Dining room table (dark stain preferred, enough to fit six chairs)
Tea set for 6 (cups and saucers) and tea pot
Bowl to bring water to sick bed
Various figurines to decorate fireplace mantel and tables
Hand held fans (wooden frames with lace preferred, but will accept plastic with lace)
Fruit bowl for centerpiece on dining table
Fireplace electric log grate set
3 tiered server in silver (3-5)
