Faith Friendly

Learn more

At Applewood, we strive for academic excellence while growing in our walk with Christ.  The small class sizes form lasting friendships around a common faith.

With the ever-increasing secularism that is infiltrating public schools, it is important to provide a quality education in a faith-friendly atmosphere.

Our graduates routinely attend college and are successful in their chosen fields.

Testimonials

The DeFord Family

We came to Applewood with a sincere desire to have our children educated in a positive environment that upholds our firmly held faith traditions.  Applewood did not disappoint.  With a strong emphasis on developing a love for Christ and a small class environment, our kids are growing and learning the way we hoped.  Our oldest son just completed two college composition courses through dual credit and received 99% scores, with teachers asking permission to use his writing as examples for other classmates who were already college age.  This is a testament to the strong academic focus of Applewood Christian School.

The Sumner Family

Our family joined Applewood back in 2012. As of September 2020, all four of our children will be enrolled and attending ACS. As we look at the road ahead but also through the rear-view mirror, we continue to feel that ACS satisfies our strong desire to couple a true school experience with the best attributes of home schooling. By design, the combination of “on-campus” days and the “satellite” days are such a unique and special blend and by far one of the best attributes for our family. The fact that ACS oversees the curriculum (teachers oversee lesson planning) while the parents engage with their child over their scholastic requirements, we find provides for a meaningful partnership. Over the years, we have been blessed to watch our children flourish as they grow as individuals through the ACS program while also embracing their ability to manage both the ACS routine and the flexibility offered. We enjoy its university-style design which really has been evident in seeing our children gain independence, maintain necessary accountability, recognize successes and manage obstacles, pursue sports and extracurriculars, all while also successfully fostering growth within their own spiritual walks. As a bonus, the long-lasting partnerships that are created within and among the families be it parents, teachers, siblings, and other students through the many ways we all get to serve and support ACS really make us proud to be a Mustang!
